What are the qualities that a background engine should have? Can I tell you about some good web engines you can start using right away?

Let’s start with the first question. In this article I’m going to explore some free and paid ways to use a background engine.

First, WHAT IS A BACKGROUND CHECK? Understanding this term is very important because if you know what a background check does and what types of information it provides then you can split those information and search for them separately. For example, a background report usually contains an individual phone number, so instead of purchasing the whole report just to find the phone you can do SEARCH BY PHONE and use other specialized engines for that.

So, background check or background investigation is the process of looking up and compiling criminal records, commercial records and financial records (in certain instances such as employment screening) of an individual.

What types of information can you get with a background check engine? Some of them are:

- Previous and current address, previous and current phone numbers, criminal, marriage, financial, real estate and many other types of record

A good engine should give you most of the results…and most of the search engines for this purpose do.

However, there is a difference between the AMOUNTS of information they collect…there are many engines out there but only few are good. More on one great service I recommend later.

What about some GOVERNMENT engines? Well Google if your best friend here. You just write the name of the state and add “public records” to it (because background check is most about finding public records.) For example, write: “Florida public records” without the quotes and look for some government website.
